Rafael Rondino is an Investment Associate for Capital Investment Advisors (CIA). He has a passion for working with individuals who are looking to create their happy retirement and works closely with other advisors to better understand the needs of our retirees, and provide support where needed.
Rafael dove into the world of finance after a career in tennis. Rafael was ranked #1 in Brazil for nearly two years in the U18 category before receiving a student-athlete scholarship at Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Rafael graduated from the Collat School of Business at UAB with a double BS degree in Finance and Economics. During his last year in undergraduate, Rafael worked as an equity research intern at UBS Wealth Management in Birmingham. He also received his MBA from UAB while serving as an assistant coach for UAB’s men’s tennis team. Prior to joining CIA, Rafael worked remotely for nearly two years as an Options Trader for a Proprietary Trading Firm based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Rafael was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He moved to the US in 2011 and to Atlanta in 2020. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, where he likes to coach and give lessons to local youth tennis players.
