Thomas Collins is an Investment Advisor for Capital Investment Advisors (CIA). He has a passion for investment management, financial planning, and working with clients to help them achieve their retirement goals through the implementation of thoughtful comprehensive plans.

Thomas graduated from The University of Florida with a B.A. in Environmental Science and an M.S. in Forest Resource Management. He also completed the Financial Planning Certification Program through Emory University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.

Prior to joining Capital Investment Advisors (CIA), Thomas spent two years as a Resource Land Manager for Rayonier’s Alabama Timber Resource Unit and six years with Raymond James Financial in their Alternative Investments Department.

Thomas currently resides in South Tampa with his wife, Michelle, and two children, Conor and Cecilia. In his free time, his core pursuits include reading, fishing, hunting, and playing golf. Thomas and his family are also active parishioners of Christ the King Catholic Church.
