Everett Wilkerson, CFP®, is a Senior Investment Advisor for Capital Investment Advisors (CIA). He has over 20 years of experience in financial services and investment advice. His previous responsibilities included working with hundreds of self-directed investors and managing a team of brokers/traders supporting the liquidation events for Executives of Fortune 100/500 companies. More recently he has been focused on helping investors find holistic financial solutions both for business owners and affluent families; incorporating more complex and customized solutions as they arise. He has been helping CIA families find happiness in retirement since 2019.
Everett graduated from the University of Georgia with a BFA in Photography and a BS in Biology. He earned the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and is now an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business executive program for financial planning certification.
Everett grew up in LaGrange, Georgia and is married to Melissa, his college sweetheart, and they have two sons. After graduating from UGA, Everett took a sabbatical for global adventure. He worked as an “Environmental Maintenance Technician” (aka janitor) at McMurdo Station in Antarctica for 5 months. He then traveled through Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and India after teaching conversational English in Japan for a year.
In his free time, Everett enjoys being involved in as many of his boys’ extra-curricular and sports events as possible, mountain biking, scuba diving, and most outdoor adventures when time and weather permit.
